Our History

The Jenzabar Foundation has emerged out of a history of corporate giving and a deep sense of community support and philanthropy imparted through the company’s founders and executive management. Jenzabar, Inc. established a grant program in 2006, and issued nearly 250 grants in 2007 to institutions of higher education in support of service-based student activities, and to non-profit organizations involved in education and social welfare. The company has now taken this a step further with the formal establishment of The Jenzabar Foundation.

Chairman of The Jenzabar Foundation

Robert A. Maginn, Jr. serves as Chairman of The Jenzabar Foundation where he oversees the Foundation's widespread programs for funding institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, and student leaders for their humanitarian efforts within local and global communities. Maginn also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer at Jenzabar, Inc., where he transformed the company from a dotcom start-up to an industry-leading enterprise solution provider now serving over 700 higher education institutions worldwide.

Recognizing the importance of corporate giving and service, Maginn has significantly enhanced support to service-based student activities, various development projects at institutions of higher education, and non-profit organizations involved in education and social welfare.  Maginn serves on the board of One Family, Inc., a not-for-profit organization devoted to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts, and also served on the Educational Board for the Software Information Industry Association from 2005 to 2007.
